England won their first knockout game at the EUROS since 1996, after their dramatic 2-0 victory against rival, Germany. Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane were on the score sheet yesterday for England.

The last 16 of the ongoing 2020 UEFA European Championship was rounded up yesterday Tuesday 29th June, with Sweden vs Ukraine match. Ukraine secured a 2-1 win over Sweden to book their place in the quarter-finals.

Belgium knocked out the defending champions, Portugal to book a place in the quarter-finals. Thorgan Hazard of Borussia Dortmund scored the lone goal for Belgium. They will face Italy, who progressed to the last 8 after a hard-fought win against Austria, on Friday 2nd July 2021.

Switzerland eliminated the World Cup holders, France after a wonderful team performance. And will host Spain on Friday at Saint Petersburg Stadium, Russia.
